Dr. Virgo was born in New York and raised right here in Powder Springs, Georgia. She has had a long love for animals that started at a very young age and she started her veterinary career in the kennel here at Powder Springs Animal Clinic during her senior year of high school. She has worked with both small and large animals prior to vet school.
She graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Since vet school she has worked majority in small animal but she has a passion for working with horses. Dr Virgo is excited to return to her hometown to serve side-by-side with Dr. Khan, to provide small and large animal services. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, arts & crafts, various outdoor activities and simply having fun and enjoying life each and every day.
Dr. Virgo has three furry children: Cap’N Jack, a Beagle mix, Cooper, a Labrador mix and Bella Blue, an American Bulldog/Pit mix. “Becoming a veterinarian has always been a lifelong dream of mine, since I was very young. I believe that our furry friends are in our lives for a reason; to make our lives better. I enjoy being around animals and I do not feel I could be in any other field other than veterinary medicine. Through the ups and downs of the field, it still brings me peace of mind. I look forward to spending the rest of my life working in veterinary medicine.”
